Shawki Allam was born on 12 August 1961 in the Nile Delta governorate of Beheira. He earned his PhD in Jurisprudence and Sharia law from Al-Azhar University in 1996. Prior to his current role, he held the position of chairman at the Department of Jurisprudence at the School of Sharia in Al-Azhar University's Tanta branch. Additionally, Allam is deeply rooted in Sufism, reflecting his profound spiritual connection and understanding of Islamic mysticism.
